The bracket system consists of a set of numerous small fasteners, which are attached to the teeth and have slots for a metal wire. Initially, the wire is bent to conform to the shape of the teeth. From time to time, the patient visits his dentist to change the wire. As a rule, a bracket system is "worn" for 1-2 years to achieve best results.
