Areas other than the face and neck can be reinforced with gold as well. Specialists have received positive results implanting gold threads in areas such as skin with post-natal «stretch-marks» and on the breast and stomach, flattening and «tightening» the surrounding skin. The gold reinforcement method has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of cellulite.

The gold thread, interwoven with polyglycol, is placed under the skin with the use of a special device that does not pierce but slides the tissues apart. This device does not penetrate deeply (3-5 mm), and this prevents the damage to large vessels and nerves. The specialist creates an invisible web of golden threads under the skin.

In 2-6 weeks, elastic collagen tissue is formed around each gold thread, and this serves as a good matrix for the skin. 60 days after the implantation, the polyglycol thread dissolves without a trace.

Why is gold used? Firstly, it is bio-inert and is not rejected by the body. Secondly, it leads to the intensification of microcirculation (capillary blood circulation) in adjacent tissues, thus increasing the cells' supply of oxygen and nutrients. This results in considerable improvement in skin tonus, improvement of the complexion, diminishing of wrinkles, normalization of sebaceous and sweat glands activity, disappearance of cuperosis (visible expanded capillary net).

The procedure of gold reinforcement is performed under either local anaesthesia or sleep inducement. The type of anaesthesia is chosen by the physician after the medical examination of the patient. Following this procedure, the patient rests for 2.5 hours in comfortable surroundings and then undergoes further cosmetological examination.

The effect of rejuvenation from gold thread implantation is visible in 2 months and achieves its maximum in half a year. Its duration varies from 8 to 12 years depending on the individual body type, age, initial state of the skin and patient's way of life.
